約翰·鮑比（John Bowlby，1907年1月26日—1990年9月2日），英國發展心理學家，從事精神疾病研究及精神分析的工作，最著名的理論為他在1950年代所提出的依附理論（attachment theory）。
鮑比最著名和持久的研究，是為初生嬰兒與他的照料者的依附模式尋求理論。他從觀察中發現和歸納出一個科學理論（即依附理論）。在他眼中，依附行為是在進化求存的過程中，嬰兒為避免被獵食者傷害的舉動，並反映到依附的行為上。鮑比的學生瑪麗·愛因斯沃斯（Mary Ainsworth）有替他的理論作後續研究和測試。
他在他的《安全基礎》一書中談到初生嬰兒與他的照料者的依附行為和健康的人類成長的關係，討論初生嬰兒與他的照料者之間的依附和聯繫在成年人人格的發展中的重要性。
